AFQT Calculator
Your AFQT score decides whether you can enlist. It comes from four ASVAB subtests: Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Arithmetic Reasoning and Mathematics Knowledge. Use the first calculator if you already have an official score, and the second to check your practice results.
1. What does my AFQT score mean?
2. AFQT-weighted score from practice
Enter how many you got right in each AFQT subtest of a practice test. The question counts are set to the paper ASVAB; change them to match your practice test.
How the AFQT is calculated
Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension are combined into a Verbal Expression (VE) score. The raw AFQT is 2 × VE + AR + MK, so the verbal part counts twice. That raw score is then converted to a percentile from 1 to 99 that compares you with a national sample of young adults. A percentile is not the percentage of questions you got right.
